FAQ & Safety
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Korean red ginseng safe to take daily? Ginseng has a long history of daily use in Korean food culture, in the concentrations found in our products. As with any supplement, we recommend following the dosage on the packaging and consulting a healthcare provider if you are pregnant, nursing, on medication, or managing a health condition.
What's the difference between white, red, and black ginseng? The difference is in processing, not the ingredient. White ginseng is dried without steaming, red ginseng is steamed once then dried, and black ginseng is steamed and dried multiple times. Each method changes the root's texture, taste, and ginsenoside concentration.
Can I take ginseng if I'm on medication? We recommend speaking with your doctor or pharmacist before combining any supplement with prescribed medication, ginseng included. This is standard practice for any dietary supplement, not specific to our products.
How is your ginseng sourced? All our ginseng is grown and harvested in Geumsan, South Korea, at six years of age, in line with regional tradition. You can read more on our Our Story page.
Are your products certified? Our products are manufactured under HACCP and GAP certification standards in Korea. As with any food supplement, we recommend checking your local food supplement regulations before ordering if you are outside Korea.
Does ginseng interact with caffeine or other stimulants? Our ginseng products are naturally caffeine-free. If you also consume caffeine, we recommend spacing out your intake and monitoring how you feel, everyone's sensitivity is different.
What's the shelf life once opened? This varies by format, check the specific storage instructions on your product's packaging. In general, sticks and concentrates should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Can I give this to children? We do not recommend our products for children without prior guidance from a pediatrician or healthcare provider.
Do you ship outside Korea, and is ginseng import restricted anywhere? [To confirm with your logistics setup] Most countries permit personal import of processed ginseng food supplements, but regulations vary. We recommend checking your local customs regulations before ordering internationally.
